Terms and conditions
These terms govern the use of the classwhy.com website and the ClassWhy platform, and subscriptions to it. Creating a subscription account or using the platform means accepting these terms and the privacy policy.
Last updated: 17 October 2026
Definitions
- “Platform”: the ClassWhy learning management platform, its services and the subscription portal.
- “Institution”: the educational or training body that subscribes to the platform.
- “Users”: the people the institution gives accounts to, including administrators, teachers, students and parents.
- “Active student”: a student registered on the platform with an active status, the basis for counting students in a plan.
Account and subscription
- A subscription account is created by a person the institution authorises, who is responsible for its details and for keeping sign-in details confidential.
- Each institution gets its own platform on its own subdomain, with its data kept separate from others.
- A 14-day free trial is available before payment. The platform stops afterwards unless the subscription is activated.
Plans and prices
- Prices are shown on the pricing page for each plan by number of active students and billing cycle, excluding VAT.
- Teacher, staff and parent accounts are not counted as students and cost nothing.
- At the student limit only adding new students stops, and a move to a larger band is possible at any time.
- Billing cycles: monthly, every 6 months and yearly.
Payment and invoicing
- Payment is made online through the approved payment gateway or by bank transfer. The subscription is activated once payment is confirmed or the transfer receipt is reviewed.
- A payment request is issued on subscription or renewal, and the invoice is issued once payment is complete.
Renewal, upgrades and downgrades
- The subscription is renewed from the customer dashboard before the term ends, with reminders sent ahead of the renewal date.
- An upgrade mid-term is charged as the difference for the remaining months only, and part of a month counts as a whole month.
- Downgrades and changes of billing cycle take effect at the next renewal.
- If a subscription is not renewed on time the institution gets a grace period, after which access is suspended and its data is later archived after the period stated in the suspension notice.
Refunds
No refund is made after the platform is activated, except for duplicate or erroneous payments, which are reviewed on request to info@classwhy.com.
Acceptable use
- The institution and its users use the platform for lawful educational and training purposes and under the laws of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
- Uploading unlawful content or content that infringes others' rights is not allowed, nor is any attempt to breach or disrupt the platform or reach another institution's data.
- ClassWhy may suspend accounts that break these terms after notifying the institution, or at once where the platform or its users are at risk.
The institution's responsibilities
- The institution is responsible for the content it uploads, for the accuracy of its users' data and, as controller, for having a legal basis to process its students' data.
- Suggested grades and early-warning alerts are supporting tools; educational decisions stay with the teacher and the institution.
Intellectual property
- The platform, its design, software and trademark belong to ClassWhy.
- Content uploaded by the institution and its users belongs to them, and ClassWhy may use it only as far as needed to provide the service.
Data when the subscription ends
The institution has a period to export its data after the subscription ends, after which it is destroyed as described in the privacy policy.
Availability and support
ClassWhy works to keep the platform available at all times, with scheduled maintenance announced in advance where possible. Technical support is available at info@classwhy.com.
Limitation of liability
ClassWhy is not liable for indirect damages or lost profits, nor for outages caused by circumstances beyond its control. Its total liability never exceeds what the institution paid in the twelve months before the claim.
Changes to the terms
These terms may change, and subscribing institutions are told about material changes before they take effect. Continued use after that date means accepting the change.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and Saudi courts have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
